Burro’s tail care

Sedum morganianum

Thirsty’s starting schedule for Burro’s tail: about every 14 days. Check the soil and adjust it to your home.

Watering

Let the soil nearly dry out between waterings. Water regularly in the growing season, then cut back in fall and give just enough in winter to keep the mix from drying out completely; indoors it may need water only about once a month. It cannot tolerate overwatering. [1]

Light

Bright light to full sun. Too little light makes it leggy, and very intense light bleaches the leaves yellowish. [1]

Soil and potting

A well-drained mix such as cactus mix, or potting mix with plenty of perlite or pumice added (not sand). [1]

Pets

Non-toxic to cats and dogs. [2]
