Air plant care

Tillandsia

Thirsty’s starting schedule for Air plant: about every 7 days. Check the soil and adjust it to your home.

Watering

Water at least once a week by soaking, dunking or rinsing the whole plant; in spring and summer, dunks or rinses two to three times a week work well. Let it dry off fully between waterings, because it won't tolerate staying wet. [1][2][3]

Light

Give it bright light, such as an east- or west-facing window or a sunny window behind a sheer curtain. It needs plenty of light to flower. [1][2][3]

Humidity

Dry indoor air means it needs water more often. Misting between soaks helps in warm weather but doesn't replace soaking, and good airflow keeps it healthy. [1][3]

Soil and potting

It needs no soil. Grow it loose or attached to wood, shells or rocks. [1][2][3]
